How to Cook a Pizza: Microwave or Oven?
- On February 13, 2019
Craving pizza, but don’t want to pay the delivery fee or change out of your pajamas to go to your local pizzeria? Good news! Wicked has the best-frozen pizza that you’ll ever have. Plus, they are ridiculously easy to make. However, there is one dilemma, microwave or oven? Which is better? Should microwaving or baking win the battle? Here are some pros and cons to both.
Microwave
It’s fast, it’s easy, and all you need is a large microwaveable plate. No reheating required. Pop in a Wicked frozen pizza for three to five minutes and voila, pizza! But hang on a second, that’s not the whole story. Though nuking a pizza is fast and easy – it does take away from some of the best parts of the pizza. Think crispy crust being not so crispy and melty cheese turning a bit waxy. We all know that Wicked pizzas, no matter the flavor or way they are cooked, are delicious; however, the microwave might not accentuate all of the most positive features of the pie.
Oven
Equally easy but a tad more time consuming, the oven is a great option to get your Wicked pizza nice and hot. Preheat your oven to 450 and bake for eight to 12 minutes until golden brown and bam, your pizza will come out piping hot, crispy, and ready to eat. Though it takes a bit longer than a microwave because of the preheating and extra cook time, it really is just as easy. Plus, it typically creates a better result (a.k.a. crispy crust and perfectly melted cheese.)
In the battle of microwave vs. oven, we say that oven wins (almost) every time. If you don’t have an oven or need to be out the door in under 10 minutes, choose the microwave, but the real winner on taste and ease is the oven. So what are you waiting for?! Grab your Wicked bake at home pizza, preheat that oven, and get your pizza nice and crispy. For questions about our pizzas or how to prepare them, contact us.
